A Winter's Respite Read-a-Thon 2012 starts now!

Winter's Respite Read-a-thon

A Winter's Respite Read-a-Thon 2012 is being hosted by Michelle at The True Book Addict.  It starts now (at midnight) and runs through Sunday the 29th at 11:59 PM.  You DO NOT have to be a blogger to participate!  If you like reading and some mini-challenges along the way, join in!

From the blog:

You DO NOT have to participate the entire week.  Join in when you can, start in the middle, end early...whatever works best for your schedule.  As long as you sign in at the sign-in post and do some kind of wrap up post, you're in for the giveaway.  As with my previous read-a-thons, it will be a week of relaxed reading during which we can personally challenge ourselves and whittle away those ever looming TBR piles/shelves/libraries.  I hope you will join me!

As usual, I'm in the midst of some books (click the cover to go to the Goodreads page):
Liesl and Po by Lauren Oliver
page 34
Bleak House by Charles Dickens
page 870
Call Me Princess by Sara Blaedel
page 53

The books I am choosing from (and I don't expect to finish them all) :):

Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
All I Did was Shoot my Man by Walter MosleyYou by Joanna Briscoe
The Perfect Suspect by Margaret CoelThe Various Haunts of Men by Susan HillThe Traitor's Wife by Kathleen Kent
Citizen Out by Marie Crist

Hey, if you're going to be reading anyway ... might as well join in the fun!  :)

Another blogging bestie is joining me for the read-a-thon...yay! You know the drill, but Be sure to link this post at the starting line when you start reading. I'm working on the post right now and it should be up around midnight or so (Monday, 1/23 at 12:00am CST U.S. time). Have fun reading!

I wanted to thank you again for joining me for yet another read-a-thon AND for the book prize donations. I really appreciate it so much. I hope you're getting some good reading in. Wallace (Unputdownables) is going to be doing a read-a-long of Bleak House in the Spring and I'm definitely going to try to take part.

Be sure to stop by the blog and check out the mini-challenges, giveaways, and the prize page.

Happy reading!
