What Are You Reading?

"What Are You Reading?" is a weekly bookish meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.  Click over to see what other readers are into this week and add to your TBR pile!

This is (once again) two weeks' worth of reading ... reviews are going to be going up like crazy as I attempt to start the New Year with a relatively clean and caught-up slate!

REVIEWED:  (click the cover to go to the review):

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
4.25 of 5 stars
Adrenaline by Jeff Abbott
3.25 of 5 stars

(Click on the cover for the Goodreads page, exc. War & Peace, which goes to Amazon)

War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy
The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexander DumasBag of Bones by Stephen King
David Copperfield by Charles DickensIn the Forests of the Night by Kersten Hamilton

As you can tell, I'm somewhat on a classics reading kick.  I'm reading Bag of Bones as a read-along with Michelle at Castle Macabre for the Bag of Bones read-a-long - you can still join in!

Next to be read on the personal pile (click cover for Goodreads page):
The Tapestry of Love by Rosy Thornton
11/22/63 by Stephen KingAn Unpardonable Crime by Andrew Taylor

Next to be read on the hard copy review pile (click cover for Goodreads page):

Thread Reckoning by Amanda Lee
The Queen's Pawn by Christy EnglishVigilante by Robin Parrish

Only Time Will Tell by Jeffrey Archer
Book Depository

WHY did I think this was a thriller?  This is the first in series of historical fiction that is just all-absorbing.  I can't wait to read the next one!

Alex Cross's Trial by James Patterson and Richard Dilallo
Book Depository

Yet another surprise; here I am thinking this is another of James Patterson's Alex Cross books (enjoyable, but not all-consuming), and I get a book that reminds me of "To Kill a Mockingbird".  If you see it, grab it - you'll enjoy it.

If it weren't for the audio books we listened to while stuck in holiday traffic, I wouldn't have gotten much read this week. Please come see what we've read.

Sorry that I had to re-enable word verification, but without it, there was far too much spam coming in - the only other option would have been to require only registered (Google, OpenID, etc.) comments, which might require you, the commenter, to go through even MORE steps just to comment!
