Friday Book Blogger Hop - October 28, 2011

Book Blogger Hop

It's that time again!  Time for the Book Blogger Hop hosted by Jennifer over at Crazy for Books!

What is it? Well, it's a way for bloggers and readers to find each other. You write a little post about the subject of the week; link it up, THEN (and this is the important part), you hit a few of the other linked up blogs (take your time; you can spread it throughout the weekend), visit, comment, follow if you like what you see, and make new friends.

Each week, to encourage participation, we get to answer a different question.  This week's question is:

What is your favorite Halloween costume?
Even if you don’t celebrate, what kinds of costumes do you like?

My favorite Halloween costume is usually something medieval, like this:

I don't know why, because I don't even go to any of the many of the Renaissance Fairs in my area.   I think it may be because it's great to go into a vintage shop and find things like this (no stays or corsets for me, no way!).

Of course, Bebe Boy James, being 11 AND a boy, likes things like this year's Halloween costume (the first time I've let him pick out an absolutely scary costume!):

Actually, this costume is MUCH more creepy in the flesh!  I think I'll post some pics after Halloween!

How about you?  If you have your own Hop post, please feel free to leave a link in the comments; I'd love to visit!

I like the Renaissance period costumes too. Have a Happy Halloween!

I love period costumes as well. I think some medieval Italian dresses would be so fun. If I could, I'd go the route of Cleopatra. I, for some reason, have this notion to wear a wig. Most likely it won't happen, but its fun to think of. :D

I tend to like the superhero variety, though my favorite for the really little ones, is a pumpkin :)

I thought I liked traditional costumes, but I saw a Book Fairy costume this morning and LOVE it.
