- I am African American and my parents were both pastors. Although I attended Catholic schools, I have been in African American churches all my life. Well, my current Pastor is Caucasian, but the congregation is 90% African American. The services are really more upbeat than those in other congregations.

- No I have never attended an African American Church, I have never been near one. I was going to one church regularly and love the pastor but somehow the elders got together and got rid of him (My mother found out that they were complaining because he invited a black minister to subsitute for him while he was on vacation and they also didn't like another family who had adopted several children from three different racial backgrounds! When I heard that, I never went back. Only the elders had a say in it, the rest of the people were left out! CarolNWong(at)aol(dot)com
